2012 March - Cancelled
We regret that we will not be able to parade in 2012. The Brid organization remains strong and we look forward to a bigger and better parade in 2013.
Who we are
Named for the ancient Celtic goddess Brid, the Krewe of Brid is a marching club founded in the wake of the 2005 levee failures in New Orleans to celebrate the strength, wisdom, and creativity of women. The Krewe of Brid honors the Irish immigrants to New Orleans whose work building the New Basin Canal set the stage for the founding of the Lakeview neighborhood. The Krewe of Brid honors the women of New Orleans who work no to rebuild all of New Orleans' neighborhoods.
What we do
Our main event is our annual march on the Third Friday before Mardi Gras. Our traditional route takes us down Harrison Avenue from Argonne to West End and back again. We hope you'll come out to celebrate the Mardi Gras season with us. Once you do, we're confident that you'll want to join us. To do so, please visit our Join the Krewe! page.

March with the Krewe!
We regret that we have come to the difficult decision not to march in 2012 due to financial constraints. We will spend this year stregnthening our krewe and building lasting relationships. We look forward to a new and improved Brid Parade in 2013. To join the Krewe of Brid, attend the luncheon, or go to www.kreweofbrid.org, or email the High Priestess at firstname.lastname@example.org and she'll take care of ya!
